the other day i was checking out my 'Unique Games' thread, and someone posted Mario, quite possibly the most famous videogame character

i was about to post some sly sarcastic comeback, but then i started thinking..

Mario IS a unique game, he's an italian plumber who eats mushrooms and stomps turtle for a living! Not only that, saving a princess from bowser (cause bowser wants to rape her, we all know that)...

So i totally luv Sonic Youth, anyone know this band?

they have a well deserved Cult following, their kinda geniuses at what they do. i guess you could label them as Noise/indie/alternative/experimental.
but they have simple poppy songs as well..

so first,
Superstar, a remake of a "Carpenters" Song, Karen Carpenter sang incredibly deep love songs with such sentiment. she was truly a great artist. (the ambiance in this song is amazing)
