This started as a dream journal, and there are a few posts to this extent in the Dreams category. Quite quickly it turned into a novelization of a world I created, called The Four Realms.

The chapters so far are short, as I prefer to keep each chapter inside of one post. I may create more extensive chapters in the future, as my plot develops and I may need to convey more, or at least more detailed, information.

I will also periodically update new character bio's, I intend to release my third one soon.

If you are just reading for the first time, it may help to click the "Four Realms" category and read the introduction chapters at the very least. Pages list chapters in descending order, so to read the first chapters you go to the highest/last page... IE, the newest chapters are listed on the first page.

T4R - C5 - Ambush part 1

They were walking down side streets, all in a group. Rath's intention was to explore the surrounding area and get a sense of where they would go next.

Gaido and Rae led, talking amongst themselves. Rae had donned fresh clothing, consisting of a white ribbon tied to the side of her crimson hair, a billowing pink scarf, a deep red vest over a rather elegant white shirt, and a pair of red trousers. Rath thought she looked slightly ridiculous, but said nothing.

T4R - C4 - Ire

The five of them were holed up in Rath and Phemia's hotel room. Mato sitting crosslegged on the floor, Lindsay leaning up against the wall next to her. Gaido had shrunk himself and was perched on the window sill. Phemia sat quietly in a plush chair in the corner. Rath had taken a wooden stool and was peering intently at the bed.

There lay Rae. She was tied and tethered with his black Tendrils, still unconscious.

T4R - C3 - Fiend From the Past

Rath dodged quickly to his left, narrowly avoiding the explosion of flame that was meant for his head. He regained his balance and squared off against his sudden opponent.

She was short. Perhaps 5'2" and so frail you'd think a breeze would take her away. Her clothing was what once might have been a brilliant red dress, now singed, tattered, and muddied. Her hair fell about her in curls of crimson, framing what might have been a pretty face were it not so contorted in rage....

I watched her walking ahead of me. Her frail frame seemed to bounce as she balanced on tip-toe, walking atop the rail of the train tracks. You'd think she was a child from her demeanor, but in fact she was slightly older than I. It still amused me to watch her behave like this. It was... comforting.
