ok so I've finally decided on starting to save for a trip to japan. I plan to travel Tokyo and a few outer cities, and check out the shrines there and learn about some of their local legends (stories) [and perhaps write a book about them]. I plan to go for 2.5 - 3 weeks. I've calculated it out to needing to raise at least $2000 for the trip. If I go by just saving parts of my paychecks, say $50, i'll have enough in 40 weeks.
