This started as a dream journal, and there are a few posts to this extent in the Dreams category. Quite quickly it turned into a novelization of a world I created, called The Four Realms.

The chapters so far are short, as I prefer to keep each chapter inside of one post. I may create more extensive chapters in the future, as my plot develops and I may need to convey more, or at least more detailed, information.

I will also periodically update new character bio's, I intend to release my third one soon.

If you are just reading for the first time, it may help to click the "Four Realms" category and read the introduction chapters at the very least. Pages list chapters in descending order, so to read the first chapters you go to the highest/last page... IE, the newest chapters are listed on the first page.

After Rath regained consciousness the four began making their way north, through the woods. It was a rough estimation of the plan Valyn and Rath had made before the attack of the Fire Cabal.

Valyn gave them information between fending off constant attacks. They were not as intense as the original, but just as deadly. The first time they came Avalydia had gone wild and launched herself at them, and it nearly cost her life to do so. She was saved, much to her chagrin, by Valyn...

T4R - C20 - Tumultuous Escape

Rath grit his teeth and willed forth his strength, bolstering the failing barrier.

The heat was bearing him down, making him feel tired, and heavy. Blistering waves cascaded into the thin film of black Tendrils.

Valyn... where is he...
At his feet was the crumpled body, half sunken into the floor, his hands still smoldering.

Avalydia appraised the scene in the span of a heartbeat, and before she could draw breath found herself vaulting over...

T4R - C19a - An End to Respite

Rath was lounging and discussing movement strategies with Valyn. After spending months in close quarters he had finally grown accustomed to the queer two faced jackal. He had an sharp wit and a stunning intellect that seemed able to both assess objectively and make irrational leaps of logic.

At present, they were mapping out what path to take when they arrived at the heavily patrolled northern mountains.

Liam walked in with a tray, lined with assorted beverages....

T4R - C18 - Practice Round

Valyn made a grandiose gesture towards the shimmering sphere hovering in front of them.

"If you don't mind, I think I'd like to observe this time." he grinned.

Rath made a dismissive gesture and began preparing himself mentally. He was dressed in his typically tendril-black hoodie, but there was a certain... sheen to it's appearance that both Lindsay and Avalydia took note.

They both wore grey loose fitting training garb, Ava's with tight black...

T4R - C17 - Sparring

Rath and Ava had been sparring in preparation for departing the Valeheart. She insisted on no powers or weapons, which left Rath at quite a disadvantage. Except for his left arm, he was an ordinary half-demon. Although that itself could never be considered ordinary.

"You're not paying attention!" Ava screamed at him, as he slammed into the wall from a roundhouse he had taken to the face.

They were both breathing heavily, and Rath had long ago stopped...
