Another lost in translation from Japan. Given that the mascot is basically a flying egg (original logo of Zoloft, an anti-depressant), it isn't surprising they ended up with, yes, egg on their face.

There was a man who loved to walk, jog and run. He carried a pedometer (which measures the # of steps taken) with him constantly, and he even had a foot fetish. But he had a hard time telling woman about his affinity for feet. He tried using a more technical term for it, but that just resulted in greater revulsion on their part.

It was years before someone finally told him what the definition for pedophile really was.

Scientists exploring Mars found a stone giant, roughly humanoid in form, sitting cross legged. They could tell it was alive, though it never moved or had any measurable brain activity.

Naturally the scientists were puzzled, and they studied it for several years without cracking any of its mysteries. Finally, one scientist standing front of it exclaimed in frustration:

Contains some mildly off color language. And don't try this at home, particularly if your father is less easy going than mine.

Growing up, I was expected to help my dad with yard work (gardening), general household chores and with his amateur carpentry. Aside from yard work, which I loathe, I didn't particularly mind, but it was often boring, and I wasn't exactly the ideal assistant. My dad, who grew up on a poor farm and served in the military in WW II, wasn't always satisfied...
