Having accumulated enough book recommendations for now, I am mostly focusing on jokes and stories about events in my life. Joke entries will have quotes around the title ("title"), and reminiscences will have angle brackets (<title>). Just in case you can't tell the difference...

I was having difficulty sleeping last night, with a haunting, nameless and repetitious melody playing through my head. I eventually decided to compose some lyrics to it, and after a couple of polishing passes, here it is:

I Fell

I fell through the clouds, a soul in flight.
I fell through the light, so cold and bright.
I fell from the Earth, my heart so light.
I fell through the stars, a far delight.
I fell through the void, no ends in sight....
