I initially started this blog to make Science Fiction and Fantasy book recommendations, and the first (oldest) 12 entries are just that: http://www.animeultima.tv/forums/blo...ations&u=97975

Having accumulated enough book recommendations for now, I am mostly focusing on jokes and stories about events in my life. Joke entries will have quotes around the title ("title"), and reminiscences will have angle brackets (<title>). Just in case you can't tell the difference...

Blood, Sweat and Lasers

Posted June 27, 2013 at 06:03 PM by eccentrich (Science Fiction & Fantasy books, etc.)

Military SF (MSF) has been a popular staple of SF for some time, including authors like Heinlein, the Dorsai novels by Gordon R. Dickson, the Honor Harrington novels by Weber, most of David Drake's books, and the Posleen War series by John Ringo to mention just a few. Note that one of the books I recommended last week, Hounded by Kevin Hearne, would also have qualified for this weeks rec's, since it will have 6 books in the series by the end of this month.

Also, if anyone is confused about what order the books in a series should be read, feel free to ask. Bujold's...

(The first half of this post are all superhero/meta-human related independently published books)

Wearing the Cape, Marion G. Harmon
This is the start of a popular series about a world where superheroes exist and are well known. They are celebrities, with all the paparazzi issues that entails, and usually try to conceal their identities. The MC is a young woman about to start college when she is a victim of a terrorist attack that causes her to undergo a superhero breakthrough.
