Having accumulated enough book recommendations for now, I am mostly focusing on jokes and stories about events in my life. Joke entries will have quotes around the title ("title"), and reminiscences will have angle brackets (<title>). Just in case you can't tell the difference...

This time I'm recommending long running series (at least 5 books minimum), both F & SF. Most are going be fairly well known, it's hard for a good long running series to be obscure. Note that one of the books I recommended last week, Hounded by Kevin Hearne, would also have qualified for this weeks rec's, since it will have 6 books in the series by the end of this month.

Also, if anyone is confused about what order the books in a series should be read, feel free to ask. Bujold's...
