Having accumulated enough book recommendations for now, I am mostly focusing on jokes and stories about events in my life. Joke entries will have quotes around the title ("title"), and reminiscences will have angle brackets (<title>). Just in case you can't tell the difference...

This is an extra post, not really part of the recommendations series.

All of the books listed below are from my local library, which has gotten a lot of interesting books in recently, putting a bit of time pressure on me to finish them.

The first grouping is of books I've returned:

Quintessence, David Walton (forced to return unfinished due to time constraints, not really a reflection on the book, which sounded interesting)
