A lot of the most well known works of SF have been pretty political, such as 1984, Fahrenheit 451, etc. And a lot of them have been dystopian as well, set in bleak future societies.

This week's books are all SF, and most of them have significant political aspects. None of them are total gloom fests however, and some are actually pretty funny.
