With the absence of light comes darkness...and if there were no darkness it would always be light. Neither of the two can exist without the other, so it is crucial that they're balanced.

Personally, this greatly intrigues me when it comes to thinking about light &darkness and all the metaphors they have and ways they apply in life. There always seems to be a light and darkness in everyone and everything in the world. Where there is good, bad can exist and vice versa. Sometimes...
