The Sky Was Yellow!

Holy crap, last night, after the rain stopped for a while in New York, the sky was yellow o-o It's true. I felt like I was in some kind of picture. If you don't believe me, ask DawnTheGhost or Kz. They live in New York, so they should've seen the sky * ~*
So now, I'm wondering about it. There was a time when the sky was half orange and half yellow. Another time was when the sky was red and had pink clouds. When the sky turned yellow, there was a huge sandstorm in China, but there wasn't here in New York ._. Is it just some kind of reflection of the sun, or is it some kind of sign of danger? Or maybe both?
