on thurs, just after 4 pm , my grandmother finally fell asleep for the last time. My parents were with her in her final moments, and said she went peacefully. for this, i'm truly grateful, because at 96, she was ready to go. she can finally be with my grandfather. the sad part for me is that i cannot say my final goodbye to her, as i'm 7000 miles away in japan. it's somewhat frustrating, but at the same time, i know she knew i loved her, and all she ever wanted was for me to be happy. and she knew...
