I surround myself with memories of the past.
Wondering why my years of joy,
keep going by so fast.
So many emotions my heart
can't control.
But even more questions
in my mind they overflow.

I feel like like a damsel in distress
waiting to be saved.
But the sorrow in my heart won't let go
and like thunderous mourning music it plays.

I feel like i'm in chains shackled by fear.
Praying to be saved but...
