Toonami isnt a tv channel, its a late night animated programming block. Currently, its on Adult Swim on Cartoon Nework at midnight. Before back in like 2004 i think is like as far as i can remember, it started like at 8. They show animated tv shows, such as One Piece and Naruto. Back then it showed English Dubs(Obviously xD) of Naruto(censored), One Piece(censored), MAR, Prince of Tennis, Megaman, Pokemon and stuff like that. Back then I t was censored as children were one of their focuses. Now its on Adult Swim, Showing Bleach, Naruto(Uncut), One Piece(Uncut), Soul Eater, FMA, Englsih Dub of Sword Art Online and stuff like that

Unfortunately, stuff like cartoon network cant be found on normal cable where I live, especially if we are talking around 2004

Now its still pretty interesting like said, having FMAB and other stuff. Natural Dubs like Bleach, FMAB, Naruto and OnePiece are still pretty good imo. Its still on Cartoon Network now, Adult Swim at 12:00 am. They recently put out that they may put in Blue Exorcist( Aoi no Exorcist)
