Waste the chance? From a business point of view, having 2 successful franchises is better than having 1 successful franchise. I think not connecting them is the best choice right now, but he's keeping his options open in case the popularity drops for one of them.
| I'm not saying anything like writing only one of the franchises, I'm just think a clear connection could add more depth to both series, which can also boost popularity of both quite a bit.
