x3 i saw the 3ds has 2 for it. is it hard liek the the drowned city was? (kept dying to stuff early on was *screams* every 5 min <.< and i loved idea of having to keep ur own map was so fun ^~^

I'm currently playing the story mode, it's pretty difficult where I am right now, cuz when I get deep into the floor/dungeon (cuz ya know, stairs), as I'm about to get to the boss, I'm almost dead. They put so many FOEs up till that point, plus the monsters you randomly encounter are already tough enough, trying to go back to town, almost suicde.
There is a floor jump feature that let's you teleport to the staircases of dungeons, but in order to do that, you have to find both the entrance of the floor, where you start, and the staircase to the next, as well as cpmppete most of your map...

I'm surviving, somewhat.

In story mode your characters are already given. You only get a team of 5 the whole game, no more. It's a pretty balanced team, since there are two good classes that you get to use that aren't available in casual mode.

In casual, you choose you characters and their classes. And you can recruit more later on I think, yeah
Casual mode is like the original etrian games.

Ikr! It's so good, yet so hard! I hear that atlus has some of there games on sale til I think the 6th of January. This etrian game and the other one, I think it's Etrian Odyssey IV, for the 3ds. Some of their other games too but I only got this since it's the only one I found on the shelves XD

I died so much in the beginning since I didn't know how to get money XD I couldn't heal my characters at the inn without money XD

So I restarted and thought about it XD

The opponents are very difficult, you have to make wise choices on your team abilities and placement and such.

Yeah none of the ships have been working at all. Thank God Steam is still running XD
