are you serious ? every parent told that. you create your future, and you decide if to rely on that "advice" or not. everyone lies. even when the parents told you not to lie, they lied too. if not to you, then definitely to themselves, cause it didn't had any impact/point on telling you that, so, yet again, how they lied to themselves ? by reaching something, that is impossible to reach : )
