Well, if everyone was "normal", it would be like everyone is one of those protagonists that are meant to be as average as possible, which just makes them aggravating because they have no personality traits of their own.
but at the same time, no one would notice how boring it is because that's how it would have always been.....

Yes, however.
We can assume that if everyone was "normal" then we would have progressed differently as a civilization. ( AKA, back when the human race began ). If we progressed differently, would we not know that we're all "normal"? Would we just go about our days like we do now?
It's a very confusing concept, at least I think it is.
