Imagine you're a random college student. You're athletic, overconfident, get all the girls, and think you're top dog. Most of the mediocre males treat you like the alpha. You're cockily chewing some gum that you think makes your breath smell amazing... and then some random average tall guy walks up right up to you with exaggerated, wide eyes and says "HEY! YOUR BREATH STINKS!" in front of everyone.

Wouldn't you get mad and want to punch the guy?

Now, let's take a different spin on that.

You're a 25-year-old virgin that wears glasses and just keeps to himself. People knock your books over all the time, but you just pick them up without complaint. Then, one day, after studying for many years to get a good job, you fail your finals and have an unpassable grade for the whole class. You try to keep yourself together, but as you walk out of the classroom, a random, attractive girl looks you in the eye and says "Hey... your breath stinks."
