If "hanshi" doesn't work, you could always just call people samurai. Hakase, hanshi, and hanshi all end with the same kanji.

By the way, Delty, he just called you a president.

Daitōryō (大統領?) means "President" and is used for any national president, such as the President of the United States. It is most commonly attached to a name. For example, Obama-Daitōryō (オバマ大統領?, ("President Obama").
