you are mentioning about your feelings to her in the past tense i.e. "liked", so i suppose now your feelings are in a mess, right?
alright. so tonight you folks are still going out? im suggesting the following (but it is up to you due to your mental state of mind):
1) refuse her, since you already know. if she asks why, tell her that you carry real feelings for her, but not to the point of being her spare tyre of sorts. if girls do not like being spare tyres, then i would like to believe that the same applies for guys.
2) go along (but you would hurt emotionally since you already know her purpose) like it was a real date. once the "date" is over, i do not know if you can still carry feelings for her like that. it is not that you cannot confess to her by then, but..how would she and you both feel? its not about how you alone feel towards her but how she feels for you too. How does she feel for you? Pity? it is not that you deserve pity, but you at least sort of need a closure to your feelings for her (so that you both can move on). easier said than done? yes, because she is not obliged to reply in clear to you (but feel free to come in PM or here, and let us move on together. i cannot say that i am an expert in such matters, but i know it helps to have help in moving on). will it help for a clear reply? yes, come clean and direct, and move on. will it help with an ambiguous reply? no. you are left hanging.
well..from here on..the reply is either Yes (to go on the "date" as arranged) or No (because you already know her purpose). So..what will you do? You can try confessing to try to reach closure..but i have no guarantees of the outcome and subsequent events. Quote:
