Currently contemplating contributing to the forums by making threads.... and trying to figure out if its a good idea/ something that's okay to do

What I was thinking of doing is making popularity polls like you see in manga, but for anime.
I searched "popularity" for thread names and there doesn't seem to be something like that already
I'm not sure which section that would be posted in though (anime discussion or games)... or what anime I would start with.
