I disagree. If you think about it, what even is the sky? All that's above us is space and atmosphere. Is the sky atmosphere? If so, why not just call it atmosphere? But otherwise, the sky is just something we perceive, and there for isn't high but simply looks it.

Additionally -- if the sky is a thing, separate from the atmosphere, who is to say that it's high? Relative to what?
