on internet forums yes but in Japan she quote popular after Esdese she is the second favored among the characters that are still alive.

i thought about that for akame too in first,but mine surely developed as a character quite much through the anime and surely more than akame:p
she killed serryu too,dont forget that,the most hated char of 2014 xD (though i didnt hate her)
so,it was expected;p

Yea, I don't find Akame interesting either, and she's one of the mains.

She's the titular character but completely blends into the supporting cast. If her name wasn't in the title and the beginning where she was shortly the focus wasn't there, I doubt she'd even be considered a main character anymore
