Recently Elected President of Anime Club

I was recently elected (around May 2013) as my high school's first "boy" president of Anime Club (according to my predecessors, they said that it's been girls who've been leading Anime Club, even though guys were in it..). My predecessors might give me some help on this (I still have to contact one of the them.).

... And, so, I need some help on how I should organize this club because I'm not that good of a Prez. I would like to accept suggestions or opinions or deny them.

Things you'll need to know though. (might add more soon.)

• Our advisor let's us watch any type of anime as long as it's not Hentai.. (basic rules)..
• I've heard the reason why people come to our anime club is because they expect that we might watch old anime e.g. Dragonball Z. So I'm unsure about how should plan this..
• We write down the shows that people want to watch and cast a vote to see which one we should watch.
• We cannot watch dub (although I'm pretty sure most of you would say "it's alright, sub is better" but sometimes we could watch dubbed.)
• Club Day is in 3 weeks, I'll need to present something fair.. (I'm thinking about putting out some manga books for people to read, like they did last year, and drawings too..)
• We usually have a big group of members, so I wonder "How should I control the crowd?"
• I have: a vice president, a secretary, and a computer manager (my last role in Anime Club).

Overall, I hope you can help me out on this (as well as my predecessor), I'm not asking you to do everything for me but just to ask for suggestions and opinions.

Thats some weird RULEs you got there, make sure you own the anime you share and not promote piracy =P.

I recommend you to watch calm anime such as Acchi Kocchi or Dog Days(maybe not)

I don't mean to be offensive, but I have a thing against Anime clubs for they don't benefit the school whatsoever.


Actually my School had a Video Game club, whoever approved this idea?

Surprisingly with the amount of Otaku in my school I'm surprised we didn't have an anime club.

That's because we all just piled in one place it was basically an unofficial club where we discuss anime at lunchtime and afterschool..... except that it wasn't a club.

It was a bunch of friends talking about what they are watching and their reactions to shows....

i had a games club and anime club at my highschool i went to a few of the games club and played smash brothers :P anime club i was scared to attend cuz all were asians and mostly girls in it.

plus do clubs have to benefit the school?

on topic idk never been in a anime club. only club i joined was dodgeball club which was in middle school
