Are these anime any good?

Hello fellow AU members

i was wondering if Gintama and soul eater is any good, i have a hard time getting into new animes (Not New recent animes, i mean starting a new anime)

ive watched alot of Anime series that i dropped cause they don't keep my interest for whtvr reason, series like No index, Hajime no ippo, D-gray man

they were good just not good enough ya know?
for me i mean

Gintama looks really funny but does it have action? i need cool swords fights

Soul eater looks very different
i recently saw a random eps on tv (toonami) and i really liked the style of the animation

it seems different than your usual anime artwork also im unsure about the premise
unsure like idk if it's cool enough, they collect souls for the scythe of the grim reaper?

another series im interested in is HunterXHunter

for ppl that have seen these series, tell me, are they worth watching?

I couldn't get through the first episode of Gintama, it just didn't work for me. However I've heard that it gets better as it goes on. I enjoyed Soul Eater, its been a while since i watched it through.

Gintama is really something that just works for some people, for some not so much. If you're willing to watch to ep 10 or so it gets much better (imo).
Soul Eater is pretty good, though I've heard the manga of it is better (and it's longer), so you might want to read that first. Otherwise I would recommend it.

You dropped Hajime no Ippo..... I'm sad. It's like my favorite sports anime.

Anyways, Soul eater is good. I liked it and has lots of action. Heard good things about HunterxHunter and Gintama. I haven't watched them myself.

I too dropped Hajime no Ippo 50 episodes in(i think). The main character was undefeated the whole time and this made me lose interest since i could always predict the outcome of each fight.

Just like any other shounen anime, huh? xD

But still, maybe it had twist in the end, you wont really know unless you watch it whole...

In other sports anime the main character sometimes loses and this makes the outcome unpredictable adds interest when the important matches come. For example Eye shield 21, that series did it right.

Gintama it's really funny, and has action in it, it's a parody/comedy/action etc .. anime
Soul Eater it's interesting too
Hunter x Hunter it's f*cking awesome (i'm talking about the 2011 remake) it's really good, has action, some comedy it's really worth watching

what i know is that...
hajime no ippo was a good series...
gintama was not just funny it also does have some action...
hunter x hunter although i haven't seen much im pretty sure that its a good anime...
