I also have to unfortunately agree with you on the sad ending. I hated it, no I absolutely detested it. But for some odd reason I found that because they couldn't be together it had a melancholy yet sentimental feeling like they will always be searching for one another. Well just my opinion. ;)

Seriously! I noticed your thread about the romance anime and what struck me was if I had to make a list it would be identical to yours. (O.o). anyway try howls moving castel. it has romance (kinda).

It's an extremely sad movie with a SAD/BAD ending. I also haven't watched a single anime movie. The first one I'll watch will probably be Kizumonogatari though.
