Ending of an Anime

I dont feel sad when a very good anime ends. Sometimes I'm worried if I would see something epic again as that specific type of anime, but no more than that. Every anime has to end, if it does not end or the writter makes the story for too long for no reason then there is the possibility that the story line would just get boring :(.

50% of my fondness of an anime series comes from the ending. so an anime with a bad ending means is most likely a bad series for me. lol

Ya, know what you mean......i always feel that way at the end of a great one, but it's at times like that, that i can say it was a memorable experience and i can shuffle the anime off to my list of "Anime that made an impact"

I totally get you OP. When GITS and and Wolf's rain and Eureka 7 (more recently), just to name a few, ended I felt so sad Such good anime.

The best anime ending that I've ever encounter will have to be Graves of the Fireflies. Of course, there is also endings such as Angel Beats, Air, and many more that can be considered outstanding, but endings like those are what makes the anime worth watching. Besides, it's not like the world is going to end tomorrow. There are still plenty of times left for us and who knows, there could be an anime that is even better.

I sometimes get Emotional during the ending of series but this week I saw the finale of Gosick which I thought was Tragic but great to watch Kujo & his Lover be together in the end kind of almost shed an tear for some reason

I don't like to see good anime end, but at the same time I am happy it ends as long as its a good ending because it signifies the completion to an anime you grew really attached to and appreciated it. Pretty much a bitter sweet relationship with anime endings. Love to see the anime progress and hit a climax, but then don't want to see it end.

Although there have been many exceptions where the ending left a bad impression for me about the series.

Depends.........for Bleach I feel so damn bitter that it ended
that I actually resorted on reading its Manga for the 1st time in
my whole life.
For Soul Eater I felt so damn empty after it that I downloaded
the ps2 Arcade Game, it was good.
For others I dunno, for example Darker Than Black made me
feel epic after watching it, strange huh ?

When a great anime as a great ending, I feel happy actually. Most everything has been solved & we no longer have to wait & see if another season'll be announced to finish. I know who ends up with who & am relieved. I have to no longer keep wondering who will end up with who, even if I disagree with who should go with who. There is a reason why the animators did what they did.
Also if something goes on more than it should, it just feels like parts are repeating to me.
