i was initially attracted to this anime because of the romance part but it looks okay so far.
loving the historical motif...i hope vicky and kujo live up to their potential.

Very cliche. Kujo looks like every other main character ever, and 'Victorique' is such a ridiculous lolicon, moe-blob cliche...
The story is also full of stereotypes. Japanese manga-kas must imagine that we all lived in baroque-styled castles in the 1920s, when most of the population was undergoing industrial revolutions. Touching on the aspect of a Japanese boy studying overseas at that time, he'd be called more than just 'dark' reaper. Indeed, people would most likely laugh at him (due to Darwinist views on races) than to regard him as anything serious.
After this first episode, I'll p*** any others. It's obvious it'll fall in the m***es of m***ively produced Anime that is not worth intelligent people's time.

yaii finally a good anime about detective mystery come out! however, it starts out differently than the manga and characters have slightly different feel to them too. Victorique is more expressively child-like and animated than the manga. She has more mysterious air in the manga. And Kujo is more ***ertive than manga too. Plus their relationship didnt progress this fast (could be anime has limit too). And the investigator in manga shown that both of them have a disdain attitute toward each other. While I dont feel anything like that with this guy (and he looks alot older vs. manga). But still it is a nice first episode. I am so excited that it got animated!!!!!
