Kazuma is one of those main characters that is epic and badass and just looks good doing it!
I never get tired of watching this anime its so awesome and unlike any anime these days have he can actually be cool,badass and evil at the same time!

@firelily in Japan it is legal and accepted that a person could marry their first cousin. I mean Spoiler Spoiler at the end of Akane-Iro Ni Somaru Saka the main guy ends up with his sister. It's not his cousin but still, a sister is closer.

Explanation of the hand scene:

To control the elements, the person summons spirits of that element. Because Kazuma is a contractor, there should be no wind spirits that can disobey him. However the enemy Fuutsujin is a youma that is using wind spirits that have been sealed for 1000's of years underground and have gone into a frenzy. Thus kazuma is surprised when not only was he unable to detect the wind spirits someone else summoned, he was unable to override their control over them.

Solution, secretly videotape himself in a room during which the wind spirit kills off some more of the family then show the tape, that should help his innocence at least
